You've earned your rewards, now let's make sure you get them.
Here at Receipt Hog information security is a big priority. As such we've added device verification via phone number to add an extra layer of security to our users' accounts. Additionally, verifying your device will help us help you recover your account if you switch phones or have trouble remembering your credentials down the road.
As with all other features in the app, you'll be able to disconnect at any time once connected.
Don't see the option to verify your device?
This was added with our most recent version of the app. Head to the App Store or Play Store on your phone to make you sure are on the latest version of the Receipt Hog.
There are 2 ways to get started verifying your device:
From the Settings page, tap on Verify Device.
OR Tap on the bright green Redeem Prizes Banner in your Rewards page and tap Verify your Device
2. Enter your Phone Number using the provided keypad. We'll be sending a confirmation code to this number, so make sure you enter the correct phone number before hitting Next to send the code!
3. Check your text messages. You should receipt a message that reads, "Your Receipt Hog verification code is: 1234567 This code expires in 30 minutes." This code is valid for 30 minutes.
4. In your Receipt Hog app, enter the numerical code provided in the text into the provided field in the app.
5. All done!
Please note: You will not be able to update your app to verify your device if you are using a iOS device running OS 8.0 or below or using an Android device running Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) or below. If you need to cash out, please contact our Support team and they'll make sure you get your cash!
